Frank Raimond runs a challenging law practice, dominated by commercial and probate litigation that typically involves novel questions of law. If there is a broad theme that unites his work, it is focusing on, and obsessing over, complex, substantive issues that mean a lot to the public at large, but more importantly, to his clients.
Previous to entering private practice Mr. Raimond worked for the New York City Law Department in its Special Litigation Unit, where he represented the City in mass tort and other aggregate litigation matters, specifically involving two catastrophic crane collapses in 2008, and a series of floods allegedly the result of negligently-designed dams in the City's reservoir system. All of these cases were dismissed as against the City. Mr. Raimond was also one of three lead attorneys who prosecuted a series of nationwide consumer fraud class action lawsuits against law schools for allegedly misrepresenting their graduates’ employment rates and salaries upon graduation. Litigations were brought in six states against 14 schools, received nationwide attention, and were instrumental in forcing schools to disclose more fulsome consumer information to prospective students.
Mr. Raimond was recently selected as a 2015 "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers, an honor bestowed to only the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40.
